Explore Other Regions in France

Charente-Maritime is a sunny seaside region of West Coast France where you’ll find three of our most popular Siblu holiday parks: Les Charmettes, Bonne Anse Plage and La Pignade.

With 140 km worth of sandy beaches, the largest departmental cycle network in France and amazing water sports opportunities, Vendée is the place to be for anyone who’s after an active outdoor getaway or who’s craving the feel of the sea breeze in their hair.

Discover Languedoc! La Carabasse and Les Sables du Midi are perfect for a lively beachside atmosphere; Le Lac des Rêves offers a unique lakeside getaway, and Mar Estang is located between a Mediterranean beach and a nature reserve.

The Côte d’Azur, in the south-eastern corner of France’s Provence region, is a dreamy seaside holiday destination which offers a unique combination of beach resort, stunning natural landscapes and chic urban hotspots.

It’s true that France has some amazing beaches and coastline but its inland regions are well-worth exploring too. Check out Siblu holiday parks Domaine de Dugny in the Loire Valley and Les Rives de Condrieu in the Rhone Alps for beautiful landscapes, riverside locations, fascinating history and delicious local cuisine!

A family holiday on France’s North West coastline is like a real breath of fresh air (without even having to travel too far from home!). Fabulous coastline, beautiful countryside, fascinating history and culture… there’s so much to explore and enjoy when you holiday at one of our parks in Normandy or Brittany

Beaches
The Atlantic coast is known for its surfing, and water sports fans will find loads of brilliant spots to chase the perfect wave (Lacanau is a good option not far from Bordeaux, or you could even head to the legendary surf destination of Biarritz). However, if you’re searching for calmer waters or gentler waves, there are also plenty of great family-friendly beaches in South West France. La Réserve, for example, has its own private beach on the shores of the huge lake Biscarrosse, making it perfect not only for safe swimming for kids but also for water sports like sailing and paddle-boarding. Les Viviers also has a private lake on-site and is within easy reach of the protected waters of Arcachon Bay. Don’t miss out on the chance to climb to the top of the Dune du Pilat (Europe’s highest sand dune) to admire the view.

Towns & Cities
Besides the wine, it’s well worth taking a day trip to Bordeaux to enjoy the city in its own right. Stroll along the quays beside the Garonne River, enjoy its range of museums, art galleries and exhibitions, and marvel and the imposing white stone architecture of the city centre. Closer to Les Viviers holiday park, check out the elegant seaside resorts of Arcachon and Cap Ferret, both famous for their water sports and stunning views. If you’re staying at Les Dunes de Contis, why not visit the glitzy Biarritz (for a long time a favourite holiday destination of European royalty) of picturesque Bayonne (where you can learn more about the Basque country: its culture, traditions, language and cuisine).

Food & Drink
Of course, La Réserve has its own beautiful lakeside beach, but if you’re looking for the thrill of Atlantic waves you can easily head to Bisacarrosse itself, where the best of ocean, lake and forests meet. For those who searching for adventure, Biscarrosse makes an ideal location for trying out activities such as surfing, sand yachting or kiting. During the summer months, the beach is lifeguard-supervised. You can also explore the other lakes in the Biscarrosse area (there are three of them!) not to mention the beautiful expanse of forest (perfect for taking a stroll out of the midday sun). Charming Mimizan is another great seaside town to visit for a day trip; and it’s only 20 minutes drive from La Réserve holiday park.
