Best Beaches for Swimming
There are loads of great beaches for swimming near to the Montourey holiday park, the nearest being Port Fréjus just 2 miles away and Plage de la République 2.5 miles away. Both have first aid posts, dedicated swimming zones and lifeguard-supervision. If you want to venture a bit further afield, the long sandy beaches of St Maxime are perfect for taking a dip in the Mediterranean, while St-Raphael offers opportunities not only for swimming but for activities like diving and snorkelling too. If you’re looking for some more protected calm waters where kids can swim in perfect safety La Plage Petite Afrique in Beaulieu is a good choice.

Natural Beaches & Coves
There are also a number of more sheltered coves which make a great choice when you feel like getting away from the hustle and bustle of the main tourist beaches. The island and nature reserve of the Ile Sainte Marguerite is just a 15 minute boat ride from Cannes and is a beautiful natural oasis with some brilliant beaches. Meanwhile the stunning peninsula of St-Jean-Cap-Ferret features unique rock formations, sheltered beaches, ornate villas and brilliant views. Spend a day out here hiking along on of the walking trails or making the most of the water sports opportunities.

Aqualand & Marineland
While there are some great water slides at Siblu’s Le Montourey park, you’re also less than 15 minutes away from the biggest water park on the Côte d’Azur, Aqualand Fréjus! A day out here promises hours of splashtastic and adrenaline-filled fun for thrill-seekers of all ages. Dare to brave rides like ‘Vertigo’ ‘Freefall’, ‘Black Hole’ or Europe’s biggest waterslide ‘The King Cobra’. There’s even a mini park area for younger kids to enjoy. Meanwhile Marineland near Nice makes for a unique day out where you can meet animals such as dolphins, polar bears, whales, turtles, sea lions and even sharks! Fréjus
Fréjus’ history stretches back to the days of the Romans, when it was an important Mediterranean naval base for the Roman forces. Roman ruins of an amphitheatre, theatre and aqueduct are still visible in the town to this day and you can also view more architectural finds from the period in the local museum. Today Fréjus is a bustling holiday resort boasting long sandy beaches for swimming and charming streets full of colourful houses, ice cream parlours and restaurants. Don’t miss out on the seaside La Base Nature, 135 hectares made up of sports pitches, sandy beaches and undisturbed nature. It’s the place to be for exploring the best of Fréjus’ surroundings.

Nice/Monaco
The sun-soaked city of Nice is well-worth a visit during your trip to the French Riviera: spend a day strolling along the palm-lined Promenade des Anglais, visiting the masterpieces in the Matisse museum and exploring the art, culture, architecture and cuisine of this seaside city. The infamous Monaco is also within easy driving distance of Le Montourey. Monaco is the world’s second-smallest country and is known for its casinos, Formula 1, its royal family and its high concentration of rich and famous residents. It’s a pretty unique place!

Cannes/ St Tropez
Another Côte d’Azur celebrity hotspot is the world-famous St Tropez. During your holiday at Le Montourey take a stop here to soak in the glamour, admire the beautifully blue sea and the huge yachts moored at the old Vieux Port. Cannes is another glitzy city which is, of course, known all over the world for its international film festival. Take a tour on the cinema train and find out more about the city’s relationship with the film industry. Enjoy exploring the famous La Croisette or take a stroll and soak in the natural beauty of the harbour, bay and the range of islands just off the coast, some of which you can reach by boat.

PLANE

Nice Airport is just 35 miles from Le Montourey and has brilliant transport links to the UK with regular flights to a wide range of UK airports. If you're looking for a fly-drive destination where you can hire a car and head straight to the camspite on arrival then Le Montourey is a great choice.

The airport, like the campsite, is to the west of Nice, ensuring a quick exit. Once out of the airport, you need to join the A8 motorway, which is well signposted, and enjoy views over Cannes as you head to your destination. The drive takes only around 40-45 minutes.
